NEMA 14-50 Plug Extension
This NEMA 14-50 plug extension works with electric car charging cables when the receptacle is too far recessed.
My employer has electric charging spots that are provided for free. This is a fantastic perk because it saves me upwards of $4000 a year in potential gas savings. The only issue is that they use a NEMA 14-50 receptacle that is recessed. That means the mobile charger I am using is not able to make the full connection.
I was looking for adapters, however I was only able to find ones that had similarly large handles that also did not function with this receptacle. After a decent amount of time searching, I came across a 50 amp NEMA 14-50 plug extension.
I have been using this plug extension for about 6 months now. I have used it with my Tesla mobile charger as well as my Polestar 2 mobile charger. It has worked for my situation perfectly in both instances.
