The Polestar 2 is a very minimalistic car. Aside from the door decals, the rear end only has the Polestar logo and, other than on the inside of the headlights, "Polestar" is not shown anywhere else, on the exterior. This leaves many of those who are out of the loop to crane their neck trying to figure out what kind of car the Polestar 2 is.

I'm not going to lie, the first time I saw the door stickers on the Polestar 2, I knew that would be one of the among the first things I modified on this car. This is obviously subjective, but I find these decals to be tacky and clutter the clean look that the Polestar 2 provides.

Polestar shows how to safely remove this decal on their website, and you can follow the simple instructions below. Although the instructions are to replace with the performance sticker, the instructions are still accurate for removal.

When you install the performance software upgrade, the motor’s combined certified power output changes. You will then receive new stickers with updated power rating information, as well as a rank mark sticker for your car’s front grid.

Tips To Make the Process a Breeze

When cleaning the area, it would be a good idea to use a high quality cleaner. I personally used this one and had solid results. It is also just nice to have an all-purpose cleaner.

I fortunately had a heat gun lying around from a previous project to aid in removing the decal. Be sure to keep it to a safe distance when using the heat gun. However, if you do not have a heat gun, a hair dryer would work just as well, albeit a little slower.

Once the decal is removed, there will be excess adhesive that will need to be removed. I found the best way to remove this was with automotive Goo Gone. I found these automotive towels to be extremely helpful when dealing with automotive detailing.
